The best time to visit El Gouna: weather, sea and wind, month by month
El Gouna is a year-round destination: there's sun on almost every day and the sea stays above 18°C even in February. The best time depends on what you come for.
Season by season
- Spring (March to May) and autumn (October and November) suit most people: 25 to 32°C by day and a sea of about 21 to 25°C, without the heat of high summer.
- Summer (June to September) is hot, 35 to 37°C, with the warmest sea (26 to 29°C) and the steadiest wind: on 85 to 94% of days it reaches 12 knots, the heart of the kite season.
- Winter (December to February) is mild, 21 to 23°C by day with a sea of about 19 to 21°C: warm sun when Europe is cold, but cool evenings and a fresh sea. A good time for golf, riding and walking.
